But, but... a boat made from stone, isn't that impossible? ;-)

Technical Details

This image has been rendered using the POVRay raytracer.

Note: No post-processing has taken place on the image to make the illusion work; this is the 3D scene as it is rendered by the raytracer.

Does this signature make my post look fat? Be honest. I can take it.

Seasick? No, this boat is steady as a rock.

Nicely done. You masked the illusion very cleverly without damaging it. And...I don't know if a stone boat is impossible, but that one certainly is.

Cleverbot: How large?
Me: As big as Ron Jeremy's.
Cleverbot: Really.
Me. No kidding.
Cleverbot: Really.

We were talking about my mustache, of course.

It is not very obvious, but the boat is based on an impossible (Penrose) triangle. You can see this by comparing the back and front of the boat. At the back the boat is two cubes wide and only one cube tall, whereas in the front the boat is one cube wide and two and a half cube high. So climbing the stairs (only one level) is sufficient to reach the steering wheel, which is two-and-a-half levels above sea level, which shouldn't be possible.

Do you see what I mean?

Ik kan het nog steeds niet zien, het is nogal ingewikkeld. Maar dankje voor het proberen om het uit te leggen :)
